robin and i went here for dinner last night:
http://patxispizza.com/
then here for dessert:
http://www.fraicheyogurt.com/
theeeeen, went and saw this movie:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0775489/
picked up robin from work, ordered our pizza over the phone before we left and it was litterally ready just after we got to patxi's and sat down. they have a whole wheat, traditional, and corn meal crust. the vegan deep dish come with the whole wheat, but we wanted something else. the cornmeal may have been extra, so we just went with the traditional. it was great! the outside was just crusty. crunchy enough, while the inside was all soft and awesome. spinach, daiya cheese, loads of garlic, and green olives. we were funky after this, but we had huge smiles. definitely check that place out if you're in the area. it's on hayes st. closer to van ness.
fraiche is a cool little spot on fillmore that has a vegan frozen yogurt option. robin and i had been here before. we were going to roll over to maggie mudds, but this place was closer to the movie theater that was playing the illusionist.
i don't rememnber the name of the movie theater, but it was an awesome spot with one screen. if you're near fraiche, it's up a block or two from that on the opposite side of the st. bought our tickets, then the dood that sold us out tickets, gets out of his booth, comes inside and gets behind the concession stand and sells us some tea. dood was super friendly. also, they even sold underdog hot dogs!
the movie was very good, a little sad at the end, but still very good. this is the same director who did "the triplets of bellville" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0286244/
awesome night!

jack's music
pops just handed this to me tonight. i had never seen it before in my life. it was a present my mom made for my pop before i was born. jack (my dad) liked the name jackson, so that's the name my mom put on there. it's a giant hand made leather wallet/ book basically (larger than a standard sheet of 8.5x11 sheet of paper). it has sleeves for his harmonica, music sheets, notes, it had an old cassette of some of my dad's recordings in it, and had a circle of fifths carved on the inside in old english lettering. this thing is great! it is currently holding my pens and random doodles.
this is the part where we get in a circle...
